Coconut oil or what back in the caribbean we call Copra is the new trending beauty product. It seems like everyone is talking about it or using it – the ultimate beauty item of the century & as far I am concerned it is worth all of the attention it is getting. You can purchase coconut oil from anywhere I get the Lucy Bee Extra Virgin Raw Coconut Oil from Amazon – Why? – because it is fair trade and British Company. Coconut oil can be used in a variety of different ways but read below the three easy ways I use it.

1. AS AN EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER

Step 1, Take less than a pea sized amount

Step 2, Melt in-between your thumb, index and middle finger.

Step 3, Slide onto closed eyelids

Step 4, Wipe away with a cotton pad

Admittedly coconut oil can be used to remove makeup anywhere but I specifically only use it as an eye make-up remover as I always wear my eyeliner and coconut oil in it purest form is safe for that sensitive area.

2. AS A HYDRATING HAIR OIL

My hair gets really dry when I am rocking my braids so I use coconut oil to moisturise my scalp and smooth away any fly away hairs. It also gives it a nice shine But be wary that coconut oil comes with a smell and not everyone likes it. Hence why I moisturise my hair like this the night before just before I put my satin cap on.

3. AS A HEAD-TO-TOE MOISTURISER, FROM SHAVE CREAM TO CUTICLE TREATMENT TO BODY MOISTURISER

Coconut oil is a great natural product that has antibacterial elements, I use it as a shaving cream as it even though it stings it does not give me any ingrown hairs & I hardly get any cuts – which is perfect when I am to lazy to go and get waxed.  Sometimes once I have got out the shower I uses it as a body lotion and while I am using it over my body is moisturises my dry cuticles.

I find it amazing that one natural product can do so much I have only the 3 of the easiest ways I use it. There are so many more – How do you use coconut oil?
